Summer Postcards

Last Monday was Labor day... the unofficial last day of summer. It's still hot hot hot here in Los Angeles, so summer is still very much alive here. I was inspired to scan these postcards from my family's personal collection, they remind me of a summer road trip. 

I am a 3rd generation Californian, but 4 generations ago my maternal grandmother's family lived in Iowa. I have a few handkerchiefs and other Iowa memorabilia. I just love these old state and country postcards. Click for a larger version.
